Discord website verification

Members authenticate with Discord through the ModMarshal website. The service confirms their account and checks that they belong to the selected Discord server.

Automatic role updates

After successful verification, ModMarshal adds the configured Verified role and can remove the Unverified role where that option is enabled.

Administrators can choose which channels Verified and Unverified members are able to view.

Server owners can review totals, successful and failed attempts, success rates, recent activity and common failure reasons.

How the verification flow works

The process is designed to remain clear for members while giving server owners control over the result.

The member clicks Verify

A permanent verification panel in the Discord server directs the member to the correct ModMarshal verification page.

Discord confirms the account

The member signs in through Discord. ModMarshal checks the account and confirms that it belongs to the server being verified.

Configured access is applied

ModMarshal updates the member's roles and records the result so authorised administrators can review recent activity.

What verification does not prove

A successful result confirms control of a Discord account and membership of the selected server. It does not confirm a person's real identity and does not guarantee that an account is trustworthy, unique or free from risk.

ModMarshal does not currently advertise automatic alternate-account or network-risk detection. Server owners should continue using their own rules, moderators and Discord safety tools.
